Share Draft

To complete an application for an FPCU Share Draft or PLUS Checking Account, contact one of our five offices in Ottawa, Peru, Mendota, Morris, and Diamond. A Member Service Representative will be happy to help you.

When your application is approved, your initial supply of checks will arrive at your home in about 10-14 business days.

Overdraft Protection

If you should overdraw your checking account, available funds will be transferred from your regular savings account at no cost (in increments of $100) to cover any overdrafts to save embarrassment and costly fees. You are allowed six transfers per month. Financial Plus also offers “Member Privilege” an overdraft service for checking accounts in good standing. The Credit Union will honor overdrafts up to a certain limit on your account. There is no additional cost associated with this service unless you use it. Ask us for details.

24-Hour VISA Debit Card

Financial Plus offers a VISA Debit Card that can be used as an ATM Card to withdraw cash from your Savings Account, Share Draft or PLUS Checking account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Automated Teller Machines locally and throughout the world. It can also be used as a debit card in place of writing checks. There are no annual fees. . .it’s easy and convenient. Ask us for details.

Duplicate Copies

Each time you write a check you create a carbonless copy for your records. There will be no more forgotten entries in your check register. . .simply refer back to your carbonless copy. To avoid the hassles of keeping track of your canceled checks, Financial Plus Credit Union will have them microfilmed and stored for you. If you need an official copy of any paid share draft, you may obtain it from the Credit Union for a small service charge.

Monthly Statements

You will receive a regular monthly statement which documents all your share draft activities. There will be a list of checks that have cleared, the amounts and the dates. We also offer E-statements – a secure, convenient and timely manner in which to receive your monthly statement via the internet. Your statement will be e-mailed to you on the first or second day of each month. With E-statements, you can receive the unlimited Bill Pay service FREE. This service is a simple way to pay your bills on-line, whether they are a one time payment or monthly payments.

Express Telephone/Audio Teller

With a touch-tone telephone, your Credit Union account number, and a four digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) you receive from Financial Plus, you can call our Express Telephone at 815-433-1975, and access your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With this service, you can perform balance inquiries and make transfers from your regular savings account to your Share Draft checking account to cover any outstanding checks. You may also inquire as to which checks have cleared your account. There is NO Charge to use our Express Telephone.
